On May 6, Chris Swatts defeated two candidates to capture the Republican nomination for State House District 89.

“I’d like to thank everyone who committed themselves to door knocking, making phone calls and placing yard signs. This victory isn’t mine. I give all the credit to my supporters,” said Swatts.
